I'd never heard of the digital divide, Nancy, but it makes complete sense. I've thought about a similar phenomenon -- not in terms of access, but in terms of digital facility. I think I'm probably straddling the fence, but there seem to be people who are really proficient with digital technology, and people who are just at a loss; I find myself sort of in the middle, but the more I learn, the more I think there are far more people in the proficient/not proficient groups than in the middle. I'm sure facility with digital media is a huge benefit in the search for jobs these days, as well as simple things like access to social services or simple quality of life issues. Great videos to support your point.
